Here I am, taking a look at the blog for the first time in months. A lot has happened since the last time I posted something - mostly nice and happy stuff.
I finished the exchange semester in Dublin, said goodbye to the city and my friends there and dragged my bum back to Helsinki where it belongs to. Right after my return I started with a new job, which I really like, and started looking for a new apartment. A lot of time passed by and we didn't find anything, but two weeks ago we found a gem at the heart of Helsinki and now we finally get to move, yay! I'll open up about that later on. So far, my summer has been awesome and there are still lots of events that I'm anxiously looking forward to.
In the beginning of June, me and my friends took part in the annual summer cruise organized by my university's marketing students' association. We enjoyed the sunny weather and beautiful scenery in the archipelago of Helsinki and rocked the dancefloor at the after party.

We also randomly got an idea to buy tickets to Kivenlahtirock festival in Espoo with my sister and cousin and had a good time jamming to Jukka Poika and many others.

In July we spent two awesome days in Turku during the Ruisrock festival and got to see Fintelligens, Von Hertzen Brothers, Regina, The Cardigans, Ruudolf & Karri Koira just to mention a few. Me and my friends were also talented at missing some great bands and artists, not because of showing up late, but because of simply not keeping well enough track on who's performing on which stage and at what time. Too many cool performers, too little planning, but we enjoyed the time at the festival anyway. We also paid a little visit to the new and chill Aussie Bar boat in the city centre of Turku. Recommended? Oh yeah.

A couple of weeks ago me and I also visited Åland. I've never been there, not even in Mariehamn, so it was about time to fill that gap in my general knowledge :) We had a car so it was easy to move from one place to another, and we also rented bikes for a day and rode around in the archipelago.

In a tiny zoo in Eckerö we saw deers, wild hogs, swans and ostriches :D

In the beginning of August me and my sis went to our grandmom's. The three of us spent a painful and rainy hour in the forest but left with three baskets full of blueberries :P And dozens of mosquito bites.

| Ok ok, it's not full, but the mosquitos were killing us! |
And finally, last weekend we took a very random call and drove to Turku again. This time for Down by the Laituri festival. We went for a picnic, sunbathed for hours and chilled out with friends. Me likey.
