After coming back from the trip to London with my girls, I had a really tight schedule. I was back late on Sunday evening and had to get an outfit for St. Patrick's day, finish assignments, unpack my stuff and get ready for our road trip. Whoah. But I managed to do all that. The rest of the group had already hit the road on Saturday and I was supposed to take a bus early on Monday morning and meet up with them in Galway.

I was right in time to see all this, the rest of the group came to pick me up from the bus station and we drove to the Cliffs of Moher. So far one of the coolest things I've ever seen. With all the rocky beaches and surfers in the Atlantic sea, wow. Everyone should see that once in their life.
We spent the night in a decent hostel in Galway. There were some problems with hot water but thank god the showers were working in the morning! We had a quick breakfast in the city centre started our journey towards Donegal. On the way we saw a lot of ruins, lakes, castles and the Monastery of Clonmacnoise.

After reaching Donegal late in the evening, we decided to go for a late dinner and drinks in a local pub. It was a break we all needed after a long day and we had fun playing Finnish card games :D In the morning we hit the road again and saw breath-taking landscape and a lot of high cliffs. And sheep. Lots of sheep :D

We ended our third day in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. As a part of the UK, it's differs from Ireland in many ways. The first concrete things to see are speed limits changing miles per hour after crossing the border and paying in pounds of course. We had booked a room in a local hostel and after dropping our this there we headed to a cozy restaurant. The food was delicious but the service really bad. We didn't want to stay there for long so we decided to go to a nearby pub after the dinner. I had irish coffee there, which is actually turning into one of my new favorites here :P They also served mint chocolate with the drink, which made me rate the service there ten times higher compared to the previous one ;) We spent a couple of hours on our table just talking about random stuff, and it was funny to notice a sign saying that our table was actually 'The Bullshit Corner' :D Touché!
Our fourth day begun with drive to Giant's Causeway - a formation of basalt columns on a rocky coast Nirthern Ireland. It's unbelievable that the columns are so symmetrical and natural formed. We walked around the coast and took dozens of pictures. I also made a short video clip because I thought it shows the scenery better.

We ended our trip in Belfast and had a good time there too. We walked downtown a bit and took a black taxi tour to find out more about the history of the city. It was actually rough to hear stories told by a person who's actually lived though the years of destruction and terror in Belfast. You can still see the scars that the IRA and all the bombings have left in the city. We didn't get to take that many pictures during the tour but instead learned a lot of details through the stories that we weren't that familiar with before.
After leaving from Belfast it was time to head back to Dublin. It was actually nice to come home after all the traveling, especially as we knew that St. Patrick's day was on the next day.. ;)
