Ilkka visiting

Wow. A lot of things have happened after I finally got better. I've done a lot of traveling. First with Ilkka when he was here. We went to Belfast, Howth, Dun Laoghaire and visited many places downtown in Dublin as well. We had such a good time and I wished he could have stayed for longer.. :)

Europe-hotel, the most bombed hotel in the world!

We were so lucky with the weather, it didn't rain much at all and I think it was a nice change for Ilkka to be somewhere warmer after all the snow and freezing temperatures in Finland. During our day trip to Dun Laoghaire it was sunny and there were practically no clouds in the sky. There was also some musician playing saxophone at the break water (which is supposed to be the biggest one in Europe at least) and it really created a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

As I told before, I also got tickets to the Smurfit Ball!! I've missed the grand annual ball of my home university for 5 years in a row so I was just thrilled that everything turned out for the best and we had the chance to go the Smurfit Ball :) The event took place in a huge hotel just outside of Dublin and had a Las Vegas theme. The night was fun, we had excellent company, good food and some gambling-related program as well. I also got to wear that new dress of mine for the event ;)

I'm a little late with all these posts but now I'm finally getting back to the reality after the spring break. Time for me to say hello to group meetings, lectures, final presentations and assignment deadlines approaching at the speed of light :D So updating the blog doesn't seem like a bad idea either ;) hehe
