I've told my friends in dublin that Finns have a lot of variations of their beloved vodka. Actually Kossu, to be precise ;) And I just love the look on everybody's face when I tell about the making of Fisu - washing machine style, of course. I've never tried it on my own, putting the ingredients in a big plastic bottle and let the bottle roll in a washing machine for half an hour in a mild temperature, say 40 degrees. I didn't try it this time either.
0,7l of (bad) vodka, 3 bags of Fisherman's Friends
I poured two or three deciliters of vodka to a kettle and heated it up, then mixed in the three bags of Fisherman's Friends and let it melt there niiiice and slow ;) We didn't want any of it to vaporize, haha.
Too excited I guess, since we forget to turn the stove on at first
Once we got the to the right temperature, things started to happen
After the candy melting process, we poured the rest of the vodka in a plastic bottle and this delicious stuff in it too. Eww..

Worked so well this far but then we spilled quite a lot of it on the floor :D In the end got the stuff mixed and poured it into the glass bottle. I already feel sorry for my friends who have no idea what is waiting for them on Saturday :D

Sehän on hei ihan klassikko! Suomilimupulloilla uskaltaisin iteki kokeilla, mut täällä ne on kaikki ihan ohuita ja lötköjä, ni vois hyvinkin haljeta tai sulaa. Mut tää keittelymenetelmä oli kyl nopee ja helppo, mitä nyt kaadettiin kaverin kanssa hienosti lattialle ja syliin osa noist keitoksista :D
Niina, ihmeen hyvin uppos! Ei kuulemma maistunu alkoholi tässä ollenkaan ja totesivat vaan että varmaan aika petollinen drinksu :D Hahhah. Hitsi jos tääl ois salmiakkia ja ufoja ni tekisin muitaki versioita!!
Ooo teit ite salmaria! Mitä salmiakkia käytit? Jos täältä sais jotain parempaa ni oisin iteki tehny mielummin muuta ku fisuu, mut ainaki nyt sit autenttinen kokemus kaikille :P
Babes, I would never prepare Fisu for you. I would make U.F.O shots!! I'd melt these hard raspberry-salmiac candies in vodka, it's more of a girls' drink and doesn't have a strong taste of salmiac - which I know you don't like ;)

Deletehehe! fisua en oo ikinä kokeillu mutta salmaria tuli tehtyä viime vappuna. sitä ei sitte kannata juoda niinku limua ;)
